"You can kill the dreamer, but never the dream"

This quote is what I am reminded of when I think of "Majed Al Shafie, a victim of torture and founder of the human rights organization One Free World." I also think of Paul, and many martyrs. And of course, Martin Luther King jr.

Majed Al Shafie He spoke today at Osgoode Law School about the 200 million Christians who are being persecuted right now for being active in their faith. Majed was one of them, to the point where he was tied to a cross during an interrogation.

I guess it makes our suffering for being politically incorrect on campus sound like a cake walk.

"But rejoice that you participate in the sufferings of Christ, that that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed. If you are insulted because of the name of Christ, you are blessed, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you...If you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name...So then, those who suffer according to God's will should commit themselves to their faithful Creator and continue to do good"

1 Peter 4: 13,14, 16, 19

**Majed accepted Christ into his life and decided to write a book about the difference between Islam and Christianity...this was not the proper thing to do where he lived.
